Mango Butter

You have probably heard of cocoa and shea butters, but possibly not Mango Butter.

So, what is Mango Butter? Is it created from the tasty and deliciously scented Mango flesh? Does it have the sweet tropical smell of a Mango? Nope! Mango Butter is made from the seed of the Mango, where all of its magical skin benefits come from. It is similar to the other popular natural butters, but is a little less greasy and without the nutty smell that shea butter has. It actually doesn’t smell much like anything at all.

Mango butter is nutrient dense butter packed with antioxidants, making it perfect for helping with skin inflammation, acne, and sunburn. It absorbs quickly into skin, moisturizing and soothing dry chafed skin without clogging pores. It helps to nourish the skin from the inside, keeping it youthful, glowing, soft, and smooth. Mango Butter helps to reduce the appearance of the stretch marks and also heals scars, such as acne marks or age spots, when used regularly.

Due to the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents present in mango butter, it protects skin from sun and free radicals that damage skin cells while accelerating skin’s healing process. Mango Butter is rich in oleic acid and stearic acid, which are fatty acids that act as emollients that soften and soothe the skin. It is also packed with Vitamins A, E, and C, which we will explain a little more in detail below.

Vitamin A: An essential nutrient for encouraging healthy skin cell and collagen re-growth. It normalizes the appearance of pigmentation, evening out skin tone. Vitamin A speeds up skin healing, prevents breakouts and nourishes your skin, giving it a healthy glow. As a result, your skin will show lesser signs of age, like fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin C:  A potent antioxidant that protects skin from sun damage and free radicals. With all of its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it minimizes redness by healing skin, making it brighter and creating a smooth even complexion. Vitamin C accelerates the production of collagen and elastin, keeping skin firm and restores its youthful smooth appearance.

Vitamin E: Another strong antioxidant that combats the effects of free radicals, protecting skin from sun damage and the visible signs of aging. These antioxidants work great together to create a protective shield for your skin. Vitamin E works to keep skin hydrated and firm while helping to prevent and fade dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.
